But if you want to travel by bus to Darjeeling then from NJP you have to come to Tenzing Norgay Central Bus Terminus at Siliguri. This is located at around 8 kilometers away from NJP and is on Hill Cart Road. You can take a auto to reach there.

You can also take the Toy Train to Darjeeling from NJP itself. But, it will take around 5-6 hours to reach Darjeeling.
